Begin in the cosmopolitan city of Lima, known for its vibrant food scene. Fly to Iquitos where you will embark on a luxury riverboat that takes you deep into the rain forest within the Amazon Basin. Home to a staggering array of wildlife, the Peruvian Amazon boasts nearly a thousand species of birds alone. Brand g Vacations has chartered the 22-cabin Delfin III. While cruising the Amazon, you will explore one of the largest expanses of tropical rainforest in the world. Smartly designed, this vessel provides the ultimate in comfort, with five-star amenities.
The ship features all suite accommodations with floor-to-ceiling windows with individual climate control, in room safes, hair dryers, and generous closet and under-bed storage. For many trekkers, climbing Huayna Picchu is one of the highlights of a visit to Machu Picchu. The views of the Citadel and surrounding landscape are extraordinary from the top and well worth the climbing effort.
From a distance Huayna Picchu looks like a technical climbing endeavor, but is in fact just a steep hike with some sections that will require the use of both hands and feet to scramble upwards, but no technical skills or climbing tools. There are sections that include railings and cables for support.
Anyone with a decent level of fitness and moderate constitution for heights can climb Huayna Picchu (if you are afraid of heights or susceptible to vertigo then this climb is probably not for you). There are areas that are exposed to steep drops, so caution should be taken throughout the climb, keeping a good distance between climbers in front and behind you. This is particularly true if the trail is wet.
The total ascent is just over 1,000 feet (360m) with the summit at a steep angle above the city. As Huayna Picchu is so close to the city complex it provides a fantastic birds-eye view, and the climb itself provides brilliant vistas of the city from various angles. This perspective is very difficult to appreciate whilst walking within the Citadel.
From the summit, the scale and ingenuity of Machu Picchu and its various structures and terraces is fully revealed. The sheer magnitude and complexity of the site provides for a humbling view. There are also terraces and temple remnants that crown the mountain’s summit, and will leave you questioning how the Inca managed to build these structures.
You have an opportunity to participate in this unique once-in-a-lifetime experience on the morning of your second day at Machu Picchu. Only a certain number of permits are issued for this excursion and they fill quickly. Therefore, we cannot guarantee any space until it is officially reserved. If you are interested, we encourage you to sign up early.
DAY AND TIME OF EXCURSION: Your day begins with departure from the hotel at 5:30am and the actual climb will begin at 7:00am, on your second day at Machu Picchu. You will be back down from the mountain by approximately 11:30am.

Arrival: You should schedule your flights to arrive to Lima (LIM) by March 30, 2025. The first scheduled activity will be a welcome reception at approximately 5:30pm.
Departure: You should schedule your flight home from Cusco (CUZ) on April 11, 2025 at 5:00pm or later (most flights connect via Lima).
It may be easiest to book a round trip Lima flight and purchase a separate one-way ticket from Cusco to Lima to connect with your departure flight.
The internal flights from Lima to Iquitos, and from Iquitos to Cusco (via Lima) are included in the program.
Arrival transfers are provided from the Lima Airport (LIM) to the Hilton Miraflores, Lima
Departure transfers are provided from the Belmond Hotel Monasterio, Cusco to the Cusco Airport (CUS).
If you extend your stay at these properties, the transfers will still be included.
Contact our team or your travel agent to ensure arrangements outside of these arrival and departure transfers will be included. Booked guests should provide their arrival and departure details 45 days prior to the trip to ensure transfer availability.
Citizens of the US and Canada are required to have a valid passport, which expires at least 6 months after their last day in Peru. Visas are not required for citizens of these countries. Citizens of all other countries should check with the Peruvian consulate in their home country to verify entry requirements.
We will make every effort to accommodate special dietary requests. Please inform our office at least 45 days prior to departure of these requests.
Gratuities are customary expressions of appreciation for a job well done. It is our goal to ensure that the service you receive is as wonderful as the sites you visit. Gratuities for the included portions of this program have been pre-paid. At your own discretion you may choose to provide additional tips.
You are on vacation as the last thing we want to impose is a dress code. We will however appreciate you wearing more than a thong or mankini at lunches and dinners. Be as dressed up or down as you see fit as long as you are comfortable and dress appropriately for changeable weather.
If specific clothing is required e.g. when visiting a place of worship on a tour, we will specifically let you know prior to travel.
In the Amazon, most excursions start and end on a skiff (10-12 guest river boats). Boarding and disembarking these skiffs with no ramps is a part of the daily experience.
Cusco, the Sacred Valley and the Machu Picchu region are in altitude from 8,000 feet to over 11,000 feet above sea level. This adds another layer of difficulty to all excursions. You may want to consult your medical provider for suggestions regarding the high-altitude travel.
Excursions during your travel program are mostly in groups of 25 people led by expert English speaking local guides. Utilizing wireless audio guides enables you to hear every word of your travel guide at absolutely all times. It provides maximum flexibility and convenience without missing a moment of fascinating commentary and is compatible with hearing aids.
The excursions are rated in difficulty based on the type and condition of the terrain, possible ascent/decent height as well as the total distance walked.
1/5: Very easy walking required which may include stairs and uneven surfaces.

3/5: Moderate amount of walking which will include stairs and uneven surfaces.

There are no required vaccinations for citizens of most countries entering Peru. However, we suggest each guest make an appointment with a Travel Medicine Specialist to discuss your individual needs and health concerns. Common treatments you may wish to consider for this destination are: Malaria, Yellow Fever (although rare), antibiotics for traveler’s diarrhea, and altitude medication.

The comfort and safety of our guests is our first priority. Smoking is not permitted in the suites or enclosed, public areas on board the Delfin III. There is a designated smoking area on the Sun Deck. Land properties will have designated smoking areas.
On the Amazon and Machu Picchu program you will travel through 3 unique regions within Peru. Starting at Lima, Peru, the weather will be warm with highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s. Lima is a coastal town with varied rain. On the Amazon river, the days can be warm with highs in the 90s and warmer nights in the 70s. Finally in Cusco and the Machu Picchu areas, the weather is a cooler at a higher altitude. Highs here will be in the 60s and lows in the 40s. All weather is unpredictable, so we recommend guests be prepared for anything. Planning clothing that can be layered typically works best.

2025 Amazon Cruise and Machu Picchu Discovery – Terms and Conditions
Thank you for choosing Brand g for your vacation. To ensure that you understand the conditions of your vacation, please read the following policies and procedures completely. All policies and procedures are subject to change at any time at Brand g’s sole discretion without notice. Any and all information contained herein is in effect at the time of printing and is subject to change at any time. Information contained in this document does not form part of any offer or contract.
Itinerary arrival and departure times are always subject to change without notice. Brand g Vacations reserves the right to cancel, alter, advance, postpone or substitute any scheduled itinerary, substitute another vessel for the scheduled ship, or substitute or cancel scheduled ports of call, which, in its sole judgment and discretion, is justified for any reason, and to do so without liability for any loss whatsoever to guests as a result of said change(s). Additionally, Delfin reserves the right to cancel reservations and bookings in the event of a full-ship charter, whether or not a deposit or full payment has been received, and in such event, Delfin’s only liability will be to refund to the guest the amount it has received.
Brand g makes arrangements for transportation, only as a booking agent. In arranging for the transportation, Brand g does so with independent contractors. Brand g is not responsible for incidents such as airline cancellations, re-routings or any disruption of scheduled services or accommodation, or lost luggage.
All schedules, fares, and terms and conditions are effective as of December 2023 and supersede any schedules, prices, and terms and conditions previously published. All fares including land and hotel, are capacity controlled, subject to change at any time with or without notice and do not guarantee availability. All are subject to change and/or cancellation without notice.
Travel documents will not be dispatched until full and final payment and passenger Contact Information has been received by Brand g and cleared. For the purposes of this Agreement, Contact Information shall mean a guest’s full name, passport number, address, telephone number, email address and emergency contact information and any other information as requested. Brand g must be able to reach each guest’s emergency contact at any time of day. Brand g must, therefore, be provided with all information to allow them to do so (such information should include the name, email address, and phone number of a parent, guardian, spouse, domestic partner, or other person to contact in the event of an emergency. No guest will be allowed to participate in the trip unless Brand g has received all this information.
Furthermore, Brand g Vacations reserves the right without liability or refund to terminate the guest’s trip for behavior that is detrimental to themselves, staff, or other guests.
Cruise Tariff
Program fares cover certain land and shipboard services including hotel and ship suite accommodations, land excursions, onboard meals, complimentary beverages aboard ship (including select locally produced pisco cocktails, soda, water, coffee and tea and local beer throughout the cruise and wine with dinner), meals and beverages on land as specified in the itinerary. All fares are quoted in US dollars, are per guest and based on double occupancy. Not included in your program tariff are Champagne, and spirits, wine (other than with dinner at included meals on board and on land), optional shore excursions, meals outside of those specified in the itinerary, imported mineral waters, fuel surcharges, laundry, purchases from the ship boutique or any item or service of a personal nature such as medical care, massages and spa treatments.
Travel Professionals
Travel agents are considered to be the agent of Passenger and not of Brand g. Brand g Vacations is not liable for any representation, act or omission of Passenger’s travel agent. Passenger’s program fare is not considered paid until Brand g receives full payment, and the amount thereof is subject to change at any time prior to Brand g’s receipt of payment. Passenger shall at all times remain liable to Brand g for the price of passage. Brand g reserves the right to refuse participation if all charges and surcharges have not been paid in advance of departure.
Deposit/Final Payment
To reserve the trip, a $1500 per person deposit is required at the time of booking. Full payment is due no later than 120 days prior to departure. Guests will not be permitted to change travel agents once final payment has been received. Final documentation will be issued after receipt of final payment and approximately 30 days prior to sailing. All reservations are subject to cancellation if payments are not received by the due date and are guaranteed only when paid in full 90 days prior to sailing. Reservations made within 120 days of sailing require full payment within seven days of booking or sooner, as specified by Brand g Vacations. Payments may be made by AMEX / VISA®/ MasterCard® or DISCOVER®.
Cancellations/Refunds
Should you find it necessary to cancel your reservation or any component thereof, you or your travel professional are required to contact Brand g Vacations directly by telephone as well as submit your cancellation in writing. Refunds are subject to the schedule below regardless of suite/cabin resale and cancellation charges may not be converted to future cruise credits:

Health and Medical Requirements
All guests are required to report in writing to Brand g Vacations at the time their reservation is made:
By booking passage on this program, the guest represents and warrants that he/she is physically and otherwise fit to travel, and that the guest will always comply with applicable rules and regulations of the program, ship and orders and instructions of the ship’s officers.
Brand g and Delfin Cruises reserves the right without liability to require a guest to disembark and/or to refuse to board and transport a guest who, in the judgment of Delfin or the ship’s Captain, is unfit to travel or may require care beyond that which Delfin is reasonably able to provide.
Delfin strongly recommends that guests are able to navigate the stairs on-board without assistance. Should guests require assistance, they must travel with someone who is able to assist them both ashore and at Onboard. Delfin is unable to offer special assistance. Please note that wheel-on and/or wheel-off access is not available at ports-of-call.
Baggage
You may bring a reasonable amount of clothing and personal effects without charge. Baggage must be handled in accordance with regulations of our air and ground operators. Baggage exceeding these limitations is subject to the charges as set forth by the individual operators. Airlines are strict with baggage limitations. Guests are encouraged to contact individual airlines for weight limitations.
All baggage must be securely packed, and properly and clearly labeled. Liquid, fragile, perishable, and other articles not suitably packed are transported at your own risk. Delfin Cruises and Brand g are not responsible for loss or damage to baggage or any other personal item during air travel or land extension programs.
Baggage and personal belongings will be taken off the ship upon guest disembarkation. Under no circumstances will baggage be stored onboard without the owner of such baggage being on the vessel. Delfin Cruises is not responsible for baggage stored in shore side facilities.
Under no circumstances may dangerous items (including but not limited to explosives, firearms, combustible or illegal substances) be taken aboard the ship, land or air transportation. We recommend that you hand-carry travel documents (passport, visa, cruise tickets), medications and valuables. These items are the full responsibility of the guest at all times. Brand g Vacations shall not be responsible for the loss of, or damage to, such personal items.
Lost Property
Brand g Vacations may levy a charge for the return of personal items left on board or lost and subsequently found.
Travel Documents
All travel documents (air and cruise tickets, passport, and medical insurance information) are the guest’s responsibility. It is also the guest’s responsibility to obtain any necessary visas and public health documents for all applicable ports and to comply with all customs requirements. Without the required documents, a guest may be denied participation and Brand g Vacations will not make a refund or be otherwise liable to any guest for such denial.
In the event that Delfin Cruises or Brand g as a courtesy provides information or advice as to necessary travel documents, visas and medical inoculations, guests are still obligated to verify such information with the appropriate government authorities, and we do not warrant or guarantee the accuracy of such information. Peru requires passports to be valid six months beyond intended stay. Please check with the appropriate consulate for specific requirements. Security measures imposed by governments may change from time to time and each guest will be required to comply with them. As a courtesy, we will endeavor to provide each guest with notice of measures that may affect them but complying with any such requirements is the sole responsibility of each guest. Please consult your travel professional for advice on such requirements to avoid loss privileges.
Taxes, Government Fees/Quasigovernment Fees and Fuel Supplements
Brand g reserves the right to pass through to its guests (including fully paid and deposited guests) any taxes and government fees/quasi-government fees that relate specifically to a guest’s itinerary. “Taxes and Government fees/quasi-government fees” include all fees, charges, surcharges, tolls and taxes imposed by governmental or quasi-governmental authorities including, but not limited to, customs fees, per person berth taxes or fees, embarkation and/or disembarkation fees at ports, airline transportation fees, dockage fees, and wharfage fees.
Delfin Cruises reserves the right to charge a per person fuel supplement in the event that the price of increases up to and including the day of embarkation. Delfin may collect any taxes, government fees/ quasigovernment fees and fuel supplement (the “Surcharges”) at the time of booking, prior to sailing or on board the vessel, even if the cruise fare has been paid in full. Surcharges will be invoiced accordingly.

You further agree and release Brand g, its parent, subsidiary companies, their representatives and agents from any liability, loss, expense, or claims arising from distribution, broadcast, sale or use of your likeness or voice. You certify that you are 21 years of age or over. You may opt out of any promotional videos and pictures; however, Brand g does not guarantee that you will not be included.
