Scotland’s Capital city is perfect for exploration by foot but remember that is if quite hilly, so you need to be fairly fit. Thankfully it has a great public and private transport system including taxis and uber, trams and busses which are widely available so buy a day pass to hop on and off. Edinburgh is ideally situated to travel to Glasgow, Stirling and Dunfermline all accessible within the hour and Dundee and Perth just slightly further out.

For those of you with additional time, take the train to Glasgow (48 mins) where you will see a different side to Scotland’s city’s. Take a trip to Stirling to see the historic castle or a day trip to Glasgow to absorb the wonderful city. Both are 1 hour or less away.

CC serves excellent cocktails and modern cuisine, and offers a full wine list. The dance floor at the back of the venue is one of the gay hotspots in Edinburgh.
Café Habana – 22 Greenside Lane, Leith Walk, Broughton, EH3 6NN. Serving beers, wines and spirits as well as a selection of snacks with a DJ playing on Friday and Saturday nights.
Planet Bar – 6 Baxters Place, Leith Walk, EH1 3AF. Planet Out is a busy pre-club venue popular with the gay community.
The Street– 2b Picardy Place Edinburgh EH1 3JT. Set over two floors offering food, drink dancing and an out door terrace. Food served until 21:00

The Regent Bar – 2 Montrose Terrace, EH7 5DL. A real ale pub that happens to be gay – great atmosphere, friendly and relaxed. Good food and good beer. Highly recommended
